WORKSHOP ON 4 STROKE SINGLE CYLINDER ENGINE

One day workshop on Four Stroke Single Cylinder Engine by Honda Motorcycle and scooter India Pvt. Ltd. has been organized by the Society of Futuristic Mechanical Technology (SFMT) on 27th February, 2018 in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, CEC Landran. The Expertise team from Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. arrived at the venue for fine tuning and coordination of the Workshop.
The Workshop comprises of two events – an expert talk followed by the practical demonstration of the four stroke engine. About 92 students from Mechanical Department show willingness and actively participated in the workshop. The workshop started with an Expert Lecture. The experts interacted with students in a very interesting and fascinating way, that students couldn’t stop themselves to interact with him and show full keenness during the lecture. The lecture covers the present scenario of automobile technologies, problem of pollution caused by automobiles, the near future technologies for cure of pollution and the main, detailed analysis of four stroke cylinder engine. The session was continued session in which students showed quite eagerness and cleared their all the doubts and queries.
Thereafter, there is demonstration of the four stroke engine in which the engine is assembled and disassembled and every part of the engine is showcased. The student came to know about the internal construction of the engine and how the processes actually work in the engine. The demonstration fosters the minds of the students and they were encouraged to participate and involve themselves in such kind of events.

Faculty Development Programme

The Mechanical Engineering Department of Chandigarh Engineering College, Landran is organizing a PTU Sponsored one week Faculty Development Programme on “Thermal Energy and its Applications” from 9th February – 13th February 2016.

The basic objective of the Programme is to provide broad exposure to the participants on various topics of thermal engineering from basics to advance level. This FDP will also familiarize the participants with the changing technology, create awareness about the recent trends in Thermal Engineering and enlighten about the ongoing R&D activities.The resource person are eminent personality from various premier institutions like IIT,PEC University and PAU.

We take this opportunity to extend an invitation to you and your colleagues to participate in this programme. There were 28 speakers from different branches of Chandigarh Engineering College who spoke for and against the motion.

THRUST 2015

‘ Thrust-2015’ Fest was organized on 17 Sept., 2015 by Mechanical Engineering Department of C.E.C consisting of Technical events like Lathe master, Junkyard war, Quiz and literary events like Group discussion, photography exhibition and cultural including talent hunt and fashion show. A large number of students from various sections across the branch participated in this fest. The venue was Auditorium Hall near Admin block. The festival was earlier inaugurated by Sr. Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chairman, Chandigarh Group of colleges by lighting the ceremonial Lamp. All Principals of Chandigarh Group of colleges were present. Campus Director, Chandigarh Group of colleges, Dr. Vikas congratulated all the Principals of the group and staff and students of the colleges for successful completion of festival. The conveners of fest were Dr. R.S.Rajoria & Ms. Aishna Mahajan. The events under THRUST2K15 are as follows:
