The department of Electronics and Communication had organized an Industrial visit to Puncom, located in Industrial Area (S.A.S. Nagar) Mohali, on 23 Sept, 2019 for the 3rd semester students of GH section.This visit was coordinated by Ms. Ritu Gupta and Ms. Simarpreet Kaur of ECE Department.
PUNCOM Pvt. Ltd. is a leading manufacturer and supplier of Telecommunication and IT equipment and solutions in India. They have shown the SMT Pick & Place Fuji Aimex IIS, Electronic Intelligent Feeders, Component co planarity Check, ultra fine pitch. Fine pitch placement upto 10 mil.The visit helps the students in terms of technical details provided by the company on wave soldering, transformer construction, tapering and about primary, secondary windings of transformer which helps the students in making electronics projects. They also guide the students for various career opportunities in electronics based companies.
Overall, it was a great knowledge session, knowledge transfer happened from both sides. Students learnt different aspects of corporate world, technical and non technical.
