Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organised an Industrial visit to “Wonder System India Pvt. Ltd.”, Mohali on 12 Sept, 2019 for the 3rd semester students of CD section. The visit was coordinated by ECE faculty members, Mr. Paramveer Singh Gill and Ms Amarjeet Kaur. Wonder System India Pvt. Ltd is located in Mohali and is an internationally acclaimed organization with global clients in the field of Industrial Automation Equipment. The basic thrust of the conducting this industrial visit is to provide maximum technical exposure to students about widest range of training programmes like Industrial automation, PLCs, SCADA and many more. When students reached the company along with faculty members they were divided in groups and each group were separately coordinated by company personals. The students witnessed the practical experiments on PLC, Panel Designing and SCAD and were highly motivated to gain the practical exposure of equipments and tools during their industrial visit. An expert lecture was also planned by industry expert of Wonder System Mr. Kulwinder Singh who enlightens the students about the relevance, importance and applications of various equipments including PLC, AC/DC drives and HMI.
The students were allowed to see all the steps involved in designing and manufacturing of panel, PLC and SCADA. The company HR executive also planned an interaction session for the students in which students asked their queries. The staff of the company was very cooperative and the overall industrial visit was knowledgeable and full of practical exposure. The students are able to better identify their prospective areas of work in the overall designing and manufacturing process and become more aware of industry practices and regulations during such visits.
