Aiming at developing competences in recent advances in Smart Antennas, Electronics & Communication Engineering Department of Chandigarh Engineering College is conducting 5 days Level Faculty development program on “Smart Antenna and its role in 6G Communication”. This event was being jointly organized by KEYSIGHT and AGMATEL Technologies. The Inaugural ceremony of Faculty Development Programme was conducted at 10 am on 22nd June, 2021 via ONLINE platform (zoom webinar). A warm welcome speech was delivered by Dr. Bhawna Tandon, Co-coordinator of the FDP. The presidential address was delivered by Dr. P. N. Hrisheekesha, CGC, Landran in which the significance of industry-institute interaction was highlighted so that the faculties and students will be exposed to recent developments and innovation in the industry. Also, he appreciated the enthusiasm of the faculties in participating in the FDP. The Chief Guest, Dr. Amalendu Patnaik, Professor, IIT, Roorkee gave a motivating speech to all the Faculties on teaching learning process and briefed the significance and applications of antennas in his inaugural address. The Guest of Honour Dr. Rajesh Khanna, Professor, ECE Department, Thapar University, Patiala explained about Antenna Design and the Research prospects in the field of Antenna and wireless communication. The Inaugural session was successfully concluded with Vote of Thanks by Dr. Vinay Bhatia, HOD, ECE Department, CEC, landran.
