Department of Information Technology, under the guidance of Dr.Shashi Bhushan, Head of Department and Campus Connect coordinator Ms. Heena Wadhwa, along with Ms. Astha Gupta and Ms. Sharanjit Kaur organized Industrial visit to Infosys campus IT Park, Chandigarh for the 6thsem students on 30.01.2020.
The objective behind the visit was to make students well versed with the corporate work culture and the latest technology trends that companies are working upon these days.
Mr. Atul Jain(Head, Learning experience team, Infosys) and Mr. Snehil addressed the students, interacted with them and introduced the term "Big Data". He also introduced the students about the term BI (Business Intelligence) and explained the working of the Power BI tool with hands-on experience. The concept of virtual storage (cloud) was also very well explained along with the whole process of storage of data. At the end of the session few questions were put up in front of the students to analyze that up to what extent they have gained the information.
After a technical session, students were taken to Infosys campus where they visited every section of and got familiarized with the real type of working process and atmosphere.
