B.Tech Mechanical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering Department at Chandigarh Engineering College offer a 4 years B.Tech Course in Mechanical Engineering. It is one of the most sought after and oldest disciplines of engineering. Mechanical engineers have always been in demand and are at the forefront in technological advancements. They will continue to lead the world by making important contributions in manufacturing, energy generation, transportation, waste management, health and environment.
The department provides the students a better way to understand the working of different mechanisms in the well equipped Mechanical laboratories and workshops. Students are given the complete knowledge about the working of each and every machine.
All those candidates are eligible who have passed the 10+2 examination from a board recognized or established by central/ state Govt. through a legislation with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science and Biology.
Those candidates who have passed diploma in any Engineering Trade from Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh or Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology, Longowal (SLIET), or any such examination from any other recognized State Board of Technical Education.
The candidates who have passed two year certificate course from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology, Longowal (SLIET) shall be eligible.
The candidates who have passed Diploma examination from an AICTE Approved Institutions & have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in an appropriate branch of Engineering/ Technology shall be eligible to apply.
A) B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and passed XII Standard with Mathematics as a subject.
B) Students who have passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, shall clear the subject of Engineering Graphics/ Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year engineering program along with the second year subjects.
C) Students belonging to B.Sc. stream may further note that they shall be considered only after filling the supernumerary seats in this category with students belonging to the Diploma stream.
