Social Enterprise Case Competition (SECC) was organized by University of South Australia (UniSA) in September 2020. It was a virtual competition with its activities spread over two months. It was based on the unique challenges faced by people in a rapidly developing world. A cross-cultural team of students from UniSA, India, Bangladesh & Sri Lanka students was formed to explore an area of disadvantage and had to propose a business case for an appropriate social enterprise. The idea could be designed to work as a start-up or in conjunction with an existing not-for-profit organization or a business case for an innovative idea, product, or service with social benefit that could be pitched to an existing enterprise. Three teams of two students each from MBA department participated in SECC. Teams had to compete in the three phases of developing, preparing & presenting the business plan. The team of Ms. Monika and Mr.Pankaj Sharma was declared first Runners-up among all participating teams across the globe and were chosen best among Indian teams. They had presented the case on “Quandong Foods”. All students were well appreciated for their enthusiastic participation.
