Training and Placement Program - Basic Training Modules

The TPP team at CGC has involved large number of senior academicians and industry experts to prepare a set curriculum for the students to ensure that our students get placed in top notch companies with flying colours. In purview of the same basic modules have been designed to make the students industry ready.

Mahindra, Deloitte, Sapient and many more. The benefits of this assistance can be seen in the preparation of students who were able to secure lucrative and esteemed positions in these companies in recent years. The TPP Staff is always available to respond to student’s questions and doubts of all kinds. The aim is to ensure that students have the information and skills necessary for an effective job search.

English: The module focuses on basics of grammar which includes topics such as Parts of speech, Tenses, Subject verb agreement ,Reading comprehension ,Synonyms ,Antonyms ,Sentence completion ,Sentence Rearrangement ,Error correction ,Business case studies, Essay writing, AMCAT questions ,Essential words ,Idioms etc.

Aptitude (Logical and Quantitative): This module is divided into two parts. One is Quantitative and the other is logical reasoning. Quantitative Aptitude focuses mainly on numerical ability and accuracy in mathematical calculations which includes a range from purely numerical calculations to problems of arithmetic reasoning, graph, table reading, percentage analysis and quantitative analysis .While logical reasoning focuses mainly on the set of processes that enables us to go beyond the information given.

C and C++: This module consists of all important concepts of C programming which includes overview of C, Basics of C. (data types, operators, control statement etc.) It also covers object oriented part of C++ i.e. class encapsulation, inheritance, polymorphism etc.

Group Discussion: A Group Discussion (GD), as it is popularly known, judges the personality of a person. It assesses the behavioural traits in a person his or her leadership skills, social skills, team skills, problem solving skills and presence of mind. To enhance the skills of the students regular GD sessions are conducted by the experts and detailed feedback is given to each student. Extra practice sessions are also conducted to ensure that the students leave no stone unturned in clearing the final GD round during the placements.

Personal Interview: A personal interview is a face-to-face interaction between the interviewer and the interviewee to assess the interpersonal skills of an applicant for the job. The mock interview sessions are conducted by the trainers regularly in which the students are prepared for the questions that are often asked by the company representatives during the placement drives. The students are evaluated on different parameters like communication skills, creativity, and confidence.etc.

Skype Interviews: Skype interviews are becoming commonplace in the modern job market, largely due to convenience, flexibility and the money saving benefits for employers. But like a face to face interview, it might be more stressful for the candidate as they have to impress someone who only exists virtually. Due to this reason, mock Skype interviews are also conducted by the training department.

Resume: A resume format is a short document used to summarize a job seeker's experience and qualifications for a prospective employer. A resume includes the job seeker's contact information, work experience, education, and relevant skills in support of a job application.TPP registered students are trained by the professionals and the resumes are collected and checked thrice before the student appears in the placement drive. The corrections made by the trainers are discussed in detail with the students.
