Smart India Hackathon
The Smart India Hackathon aims to find solution to the problems of Ministries, Government departments, NGOs and industries by generating new ideas from students. Also, Smart India Hackathon is a nationwide initiative to provide students a platform to solve some of the pressing problems we face in our daily lives, and thus inculcate a culture of product innovation and a mindset of problem solving. The campaign is led by Human Resource Development (HRD) Ministry through All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) as the main anchor. The last edition of the Hackathon saw over 5 million+ students from various colleges who competed for the top prize at 65+ locations.
The first three editions SIH2017, SIH2018 and SIH2019 proved to be extremely successful in promoting innovation, out-of-the-box thinking in young minds, especially engineering students from across India.
CEC Landran witnessed and partnered the success of all three editions by holding the grand finales in the campus. This was a nonstop 36-hr software product development competition.
In Smart India Hackathon’19, the problems were of AICHAPPRAISERS AUCTIONERS , SSEPL Skills Pvt. Ltd. , Orissa Small Scale Industries Association, Cuttack(OSSIA) (MSME) CTTC and Bhubaneswar (MSME). The event was held on 02 and 03 March 2019 and total 44 teams participated in it.
In Smart India Hackathon’18, the problems of Ministry of Agriculture & Farmer Welfare were taken up. It was held on Mar 30 & 31, 2018 and total 41 teams participated in it.
In Smart India Hackathon’17, the problems were shared by Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship. The event was held on April 1, 2017 and April 2, 2017 and total 45 teams each of six members participated in it.
