B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering
The various aspects of modern life- computers, robotics, the internet, digital television, satellites, aerospace, medical scanners, security systems, and sustainable energy have taken a step ahead with the research and development in Electronics and Communication Engineering. The ECE department at CEC-CGC, Landran, Mohali has a well qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty to inculcate required skills and encourage research-oriented learning among students. The Microwave and Antenna Lab, Microprocessor & Microcontroller Lab, Digital System Design Lab, Analog and Digital Communication lab, Embedded system & VLSI Lab, Linear Integrated Circuits Lab and Research Cell are well equipped with high quality Apparatus and Equipment. Each lab has an LCD projector for better teaching and learning practices.
The Department is associated with the clubs namely, “Electronics Project Club” (EPC) and “Techcomm Professional Society” that conducts different Technical & Cultural Events, competitions, seminars, quizzes etc. The department is associated with professional technical associations and societies namely IETE and IEI which give students, additional means to improve and update their technical knowledge and personality development.
Eligibility Criteria & Admission Procedure (Entry Level 10+2)
All those candidates who have passed the 10+2 examination from a board recognized or established by central/state government through a legislation and a member of Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi with Physics / Mathematics / Chemistry
OR
Those candidates who have passed diploma in any Engineering Trade from Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh or Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal (SLIET), or any such examination from any other recognized State Board of Technical Education
OR
The candidates who have passed two years certificate course from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal (SLIET) shall be eligible.
Eligibility Criteria & Admission Procedure for Lateral Entry
All those candidates who have passed minimum three years/two years (Lateral Entry) Diploma examination from an AICTE approved institution/recognized university as defined by UGC in any branch of Engineering and Technology shall be eligible to apply.
OR
All those candidates who have passed B. Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC and passed XII standard with mathematics as a subject shall be eligible to apply.
OR
Candidates who have passed D. Voc. streams in the same or allied sector are eligible.
