E Governance Centre
CEC-CGC, Landran, Mohali is the first institute which can rightfully claim of having made a significant contribution for the development of the State by setting up the first centre for e-governance as a joint venture with the Punjab Government. The main objective of e-governance was to provide an efficient and transparent administration, making the govt. machinery far more useful for the public.
Consequently, the teachers and students had joined hands for the computerization of various departments of the state. It was thus a golden chapter in the history of CEC-CGC, Landran, Mohali to be a part of wide ranging development programme of the State government. During inauguration of this prestigious project, Dr Pramod Kumar, Chairman, Punjab Governance Reforms Commission, highly appreciated the initiative taken by CEC-CGC, Landran, Mohali. As a first step in this direction, the project on computerization of jails had already been completed in partnership with Punjab Infotech.
