FDP on Emerging Technologies in Basic Sciences from 2nd to 6th July, 2018

The Applied Science Department of CEC & COE are organizing one week Faculty Development Programme on “Emerging Technologies in Basic Sciences” from 2nd July 2018 to 6th July 2018. The FDP will include Lectures in various subjects like Chemistry, Physics, Communication Skills and Mathematics covering topics related to the new curriculum. It will be conducted in Block-9, Applied Science Department of CEC. The details of FDP incharges are given below:

Grant of Financial Assistance From AICTE to CGC Students Participating in “CANSAT”

All India Council for Technical Education, (AICTE) has given go-ahead for granting financial assistance to the students of CGC Landran who are going to participate in ‘CANSAT’ to be held in USA from 8th June to 10th June 2018. Under the Competition Abroad Scheme, a total sum of Rs. 9,00,000/- has been granted to total Nine students (Rs. 1,00,000/- per student) including Airfare, Train Fare, Registration, Visa Charges, Lodging & Boarding etc. The purpose of this offer is to enhance the quality of Engineering Education and inculcate research, innovation and competition culture among the students.

All India Council for Technical Education, (AICTE) has given go-ahead for granting financial assistance to the students of CGC Landran who are going to participate in ‘Formula SAE (Internal Combustion) Racing Event’ from 20th June to 24th June 2018. Under the Competition Abroad Scheme, a sum of Rs. 10,00,000/- has been granted to the total 10 students (Rs. 1,00,000/- per student) including Airfare, Train Fare, Registration, Visa Charges, Lodging & Boarding etc. The purpose of this offer is to enhance the quality of Engineering Education and inculcate research, innovation and competition culture among the students.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT @ SML ISUZU LTD.

To make students aware about the processes involved in an automobile manufacturing industry, the Department of Mechanical Engineering CGC COE, #CGC #Landran organized an industrial visit to its students to SML ISUZU Ltd., Ropar, Punjab. The prime objective of this industrial visit has been to give students an exposure to real time assembly operations in the industry, demonstration of different stages during the production process and give them hands-on industry experience. Students got industry insights as officially explained the processes involved in the assembly of SML commercial vehicles, ISUZU Luxury Buses and Special Application Vehicles.

INTERNATIONAL BUSIT WEEK ENDS ON A HIGH NOTE!

Aimed at providing global education platform at one place, International BusIT Week organized at CGC Landran finally drew to an end on a high note. Bidding warm adieus to their new Indian friends and faculty, 10 international students assisted by one faculty member expressed their hearty gratitude to CGC family on the departure day for providing them with a unique opportunity to have one-on-one interaction with Indian minds and create futuristic apps. Students left with a promise to come back in future to soak them again in an intellectual experience never experienced before!
