International Competition at Texas,USA
Four students of Mechanical Engineering department got shortlisted for an international Competition organized by American Astronautical Society to be held in the month of June with Naval Research Lab, NASA in Tarleton State University, Stephenville, Texas, USA. Technical events comprised of PDR (Preliminary Design Review), CDR (Critical Design Review), Final Launch. Team Infinity consist of four mentors and nine students. Four students and one mentor from mechanical branch and five students and three mentors including head mentor from Electronics branch. Our team scored 9th rank worldwide in PDR, 5th rank worldwide in CDR and received a grant of Rs 9 lacs from AICTE. It will be prolific experience for the students to gain the detailed knowledge of the project work and it will also encourage them for micro level studies in future.
Dr Vikas Dhawan, Director Principal, CEC emphasized the importance of such events in the competitive environment along with the regular academic work and also motivated the students.
