MECHNOROBS CLUB

Mechnorobs was established on 28 October 2006 in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, CEC, Landran (Mohali), to develop an institutional mechanism for organizing technical and cultural events in the Department. This helps in enhancing the technical capabilities of the students and will further help in providing them a platform to develop the personality of the student which would assist them in confidently tackling the competitive scenario. The events to be organized by the club will mainly focus on Group Discussion, Quiz contest, Rock Show, various technical events, and lab sessions.

Objective of MECHNOROBS CLUB
Many students have shown consistent interest in personality development to make themselves competent in the modern world. Mechnorobs provide such a platform to the students.
Our students and teachers have been proving their talent in developing innovative products/ideas. And their talents can be appreciated through our club.

SAE INDIA COLLEGIATE CLUB

SAE is an International Society having headquarters in the USA. It has more than 121,000 members, which includes engineers, business executives, educators, and students from more than 97 countries who share information and exchange ideas for advancing the engineering of mobility systems. SAE is a one-stop resource for standards development, events, and technical information and this expertise is used in designing, building, maintaining, and operating self-propelled vehicles for use on land or sea, in air or space. SAEINDIA is an affiliate society of SAE International. It has 190 collegiate clubs in India with 22,500 student members. SAE India (Society of Automotive Engineers India) Collegiate Club was established on 19 August 2015 to enhance the knowledge of students related to the recent trends in the engineering of mobility systems. SAE India Collegiate Club had a membership of 62 students in the department of mechanical engineering in the academic year of 2015-2016.

Objectives of SAE INDIA COLLEGIATE CLUB
• To enhance the knowledge base of student members about recent trends in the engineering of mobility systems.
• To benefit its student members and faculty with knowledge of the latest advancements in technology in the field of automobiles.
• To provide access to SAE international programs and services, globally enabling them to practice world-class standards in productivity and quality.
• To provide a forum for members to informally exchange views and ideas.
• SAE INDIA members combine their specialized abilities to further advance the research, development, design, manufacture, and utilization of vehicles that operate on land and water or in air and space.

American Society for Mechanical Engineers (ASME)

ASME is a non-profit membership organization that enables collaboration, knowledge sharing, career enrichment, and skill development across all engineering disciplines. This society was founded in 1880 by a small group of leading industrialists. ASME has grown through the decades to include more than 130,000 members from 151 countries. Out of them, thirty-two thousand members are students. This organization promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe. ASME conducts numerous technical conferences and professional development courses each year. It also sponsors numerous outreach and educational programs. The ASME community consists of college students, early-career engineers, project managers, corporate executives, researchers, and academic leaders. ASME serves this wide-ranging technical community through quality programs in continuing education, training & professional development, codes & standards, research, conferences & publications, government relations and other forms of outreach. The ASME student chapter has been started in Chandigarh Engineering College, Landran in September 2016 with an initial intake of 20 students.

Society of Futuristic Mechanical Technology (SFMT)

Society of futuristic mechanical technology is a society in which every member is focused to work on the research papers, patent files, core projects, interdisciplinary projects, technical skill development, and advanced designing. This is a great platform at the department level for showcasing their innovations and ideas in mechanical projects. The society also aims to enhance the technical knowledge of the student by conducting various guest lectures on mechanical technologies and organizing technical events to inculcate the competitive spirit. This society promotes the startup innovative ideas & other activities for the betterment of present and future technologies. It is a saturated departmental body of Mechanical Engineering, Chandigarh Engineering College, Landran.
