Two days International conference on “Innovations in Communication, Computing and Sciences (ICCS-2019)” was organized by Department of ECE on 26th and 27th July, 2019. The inaugural session started with the lamp lightening ceremony by Satnam Singh Sandhu (Chairman, CGC Landran), Dr. Ghazi Alkhatib, Professor, S.H University, Jordan and editor in chief, IJITWE,USA, Dr. Shiv Kumar, Chief executive officer, BEIESP, Dr. P. K. Khosla (Chief Guest, Executive Director, CDAC, Mohali), Dr. Ashwani Kumar (Guest of Honour, Professor, Monmouth College, USA), Sh. Arun Batra, (Keynote Speaker, CGM-Technology, SML ISUZU Ltd., Ropar) Dr. P. N. Hrisheekesha (Campus Director, CGC Landran), Er. A. C. Sharma (Director HR & Admin, CGC), Dr. Rajdeep Singh (Director Principal, CEC), Dr. Vinay Bhatia (HOD,ECE) and Dr. Rajesh Sharma (HOD, Mechanical Engineering Department, CEC). This conference witnessed significant participation from academicians, researchers as well as experts from industry. A total of 300+ papers for ECE from international and national researchers from reputed institutes like NITs, NITTTR. Amity University, Galgotia University , Chitkara University, Jaypee University, VTU RRC, Research Scholar, Belgaum, ,Thapar University, MM University, Mulana, Chandigarh University, Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College Ludhiana, DCRUST Murthal, jagganath University, J.B pant college Delhi, MAIT Delhi, GH bombay, IP University Delh, MIE Australia, CCE New Zealand, University of Johannesburg South Africa, IITs, Panjab University, PEC Chandigarh, affiliated colleges of IKGPTU, etc. were received. These manuscripts were rigorously peer reviewed and finally 176 papers from ECE have been selected for publication in UGC approved/SCOPUS indexed Journals.
The Chairman CGC, Satnam Singh Sandhu during his inaugural speech encouraged the researchers to innovate and focus their research for the betterment of the society. The Keynote speaker Dr. Ghazi Alkhatib presented his expert talks on “Research Strategies in Computing Sciences”, Dr. Shiv Kumar, CEO, Blue Eyes Intelligence Engineering and Science Publications, talked about advancements in the computing and research technologies in future. Dr. Rajesh Khanna, Prof. Thapar University presented his talk on wearable technologies, Dr. Vinod Karar, chief scientist and vertical incharge CSIO present his expert talk on head up display used in Indian Airforce. The certificates of participation were awarded to the participants during the valediction ceremony organized on the second day of the conference. Dr. P.N. Hrisheekesha congratulated the department for the grand success of the conference and guided to conduct integrated research in future.
