The Excelsior Club of Applied Sciences Department at Chandigarh Engineering College- CGC Landran, Mohali organized an exciting coding competition for first-year students on 20th April,2023. The event was held in the Computer Centre that witnessed a fantastic turnout of more than 120 students. The competition featured two challenging rounds: the first was an MCQ-based round and the second was a coding-based round. It was a great success, attracting coding enthusiasts and programming aces alike. All participants received e-certificates for their participation, while accolades were reserved for the top two winners. Ritvik Bhutani, a 2nd Sem/COE student secured the first position, while Utkarsh Singh, a 2nd Sem/CEC student, became the runner-up. The event was conducted impeccably and managed proficiently by the Excelsior Club, under the efficient stewardship of Club Incharge Ms. Nisha Kumari and Co-ordinators of Club. The event culminated with a Felicitation Ceremony, which was presided over by Dr. Harpal Singh, HOD, Applied Sciences and Club Incharge Ms. Nisha Kumari. Overall, the coding competition was a resounding success, and the organizers are eager to continue fostering such associations in the future as well. It was a great opportunity for students to showcase their coding skills, learn from one another, and have a fun time doing it.
