The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, through its IETE Student Forum (IETE-SF), organized an expert talk on “Cybersecurity: Emerging Threats, Challenges and Best Practices” at Chandigarh Engineering College – CGC, Landran on August 31, 2026. The session was delivered by Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, Scientist ‘F’ and Associate Director, Cyber Security Technology Division (CSTD), C-DAC, Mohali. He spoke about emerging cyber threats and attack techniques, the challenges of securing modern digital systems, the importance of protecting sensitive data and digital identities, and responsible digital behaviour. The session increased students’ awareness of safe digital practices and motivated them to explore cybersecurity for higher studies, projects, research and careers.
