The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of CEC-CGC Landran, Mohali hosted an expert talk on “AI and Emerging Technologies” on August 1st, 2025. The session was delivered by Mr. Samit Sawal, Principal Product Architect at Infosys Center for Emerging Technology Solutions (iCETS).
With over 18 years of experience in product development and emerging tech incubation, Mr. Sawal currently leads platform engineering for Infosys Cortex, the Infosys Chatbot Platform, and the Conversational AI Suite.
During the session, he shared thought-provoking insights into the rapidly evolving landscape of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its integration with cutting-edge technologies. He highlighted real-world applications and the transformative impact AI is having across industries, from healthcare and finance to telecom and manufacturing.
The talk aimed to bridge the gap between academia and industry, inspiring students and faculty to explore new frontiers in AI-driven innovation.
