Objective of the Event:
The event aimed to strengthen Academic–Professional body collaboration by formalizing an MoU between Department of Business Administration (MBA), Chandigarh Engineering College-CGC Landran and the NIPM Punjab Chapter, launch the NIPM Punjab Student Chapter at CEC-CGC, and conduct an expert talk on 'Transforming Talent: AI’s Impact on HR & the Future of Work' to provide insights into the future of HR and AI’s growing role in human capital management.
Summary Report of the Event:
The Department of Business Administration (MBA), Chandigarh Engineering College, organized the MoU Signing Ceremony and NIPM Punjab Student Chapter Launch on 14th October 2025. The MoU was signed between Department of Business Administration (MBA), Chandigarh Engineering College-CGC Landran and the NIPM Punjab Chapter. The MoU was signed by Dr. Rajdeep Singh, Campus Director, CGC Landran, and Mr. Ajay Bakshi, Chairman, NIPM Punjab Chapter. The ceremony was witnessed by Dr. Maninder Gill, Head, Department of Business Administration (MBA), and Mr. Mandeep Singh, Director TPP, from CGC, as well as Mr. S.P. Bansal, NIPM Regional Vice President (North), and Mr. Jorawer Singh, Honorary Secretary, NIPM Punjab Chapter.
The formal session of NIPM Punjab Student Chapter launch began with the welcome address by Ms. Harleen Kour, President, Talent Tectician HR Club, followed by lamp lighting by dignitaries. Dr. Maninder Gill, HoD (MBA), delivered the Welcome Address. Mr. Jorawer Singh, Honorary Secretary, NIPM Punjab Chapter, gave a presentation on NIPM and its student chapter activities. This was followed by inspiring addresses by Mr. Ajay Bakshi (Chairman, NIPM Punjab Chapter) and Mr. S.P. Bansal (Regional Vice President – North, NIPM). Dr. Mamta Shama, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration, announced the formation of the NIPM Punjab Student Council of Department of Business Administration (MBA), Chandigarh Engineering College-CGC, Landran. An engaging expert talk on the theme 'Transforming Talent: AI’s Impact on HR & the Future of Work' was delivered by Ms. Deepti Kumari, Manager – Certified HR Business Partner, Netsmartz Infotech, who shared valuable insights on AI-driven HR practices. The event concluded with felicitation of and a formal Vote of Thanks by Dr. Rama Sharma, Faculty Coordinator and Talent Tactician HR Club, followed by interaction and networking over lunch.
