The Universal Human Values (UHV) Potential Nodal Center, Chandigarh Engineering College (CGC), Landran, Mohali, is organizing an AICTE Approved 3-Day (Introductory) Face-to-Face Faculty Development Programme on "Universal Human Values–I: Building a Conducive Environment for Holistic and Values-Based Education" from 8th July to 10th July 2026 at the Seminar Hall, Block 2.
The programme is designed to introduce faculty members to the philosophy of Universal Human Values and its significance in higher education. It aims to strengthen the understanding of value-based education, promote holistic development, and create an environment that nurtures ethical, responsible, and socially conscious professionals. The FDP aligns with AICTE's initiative to integrate human values into technical education and foster harmony at the individual, family, society, and nature levels.
The members from Team AICTE-NCCIP will conduct the sessions through interactive lectures, group discussions, reflective activities, and experiential learning exercises. Participants will gain insights into self-exploration, right understanding, harmonious relationships, and professional ethics, enabling them to effectively incorporate these values into teaching-learning practices.
Faculty members from various departments of the institution are expected to participate actively in the programme. The event is anticipated to provide an enriching platform for reflection, dialogue, and collaborative learning, thereby contributing to the development of a holistic and values-based academic ecosystem within the institution.
